I am excited to receive support from WAPPP to pursue a summer internship to provide strategic support and programme coordination for ElectHER to empower 1000 women to run for office and directly back ‘35’ women in the 2023 Nigerian elections.

I will support with three specific activities which include:

1. Host and coordinate a virtual townhall event to drive social consciousness and boost citizenship engagement on the importance of electing women to positions of power and decision making.

2. Organize a training bootcamp for the ElectHER Decide to Run Community, a community for women who are interested in running for office to provide them with knowledge to assess their readiness to run for elective office ahead of the 2023 election cycle.

3. Support institutional capacity building by organising and facilitation a half-year strategy retreat with members of the ElectHER team.

A special thank you to the generous supporters of the WAPPP Summer Internship Grant who have made this possible and to the Women and Public Policy Program team at Harvard Kennedy School, thank you for all your support.
